Balinese crimes

I don't like studios. I don't like the fake atmosphere and the fact, that it's supposed to bring out the best in me.(Yeah, thinking about the Foos?) I haven't had many positive experiences, but working with Matej has been magic until now. Not only with the kind of person that he is, but also how he takes care of the design of the room:) Very important!! It's important for me to let go. I've recorded a cover yesterday. Not just any cover and not just somehow. Different approach. Picture it: me, my guitar, 2 mics (well 3 if you count the room/rain mic) and the Balinese doll. Trying to get one good take, by good I mean the one that was the most emotional and had groove in it. Success. Soon on my blog. (The entire time writing this blog I'm listening to one song - MuteMath/obsolete,magic!!). For those who want to know, what the hell am I doing in a studio, if I have at leeeaaast 16 bands! ...try relying on others, when you're doing something that's most important to you. You know, I'm still trying. But I've got to do my own thing, because I feel I have to. There's a forest growing inside my head...with all these trees and flowers, you will soon get to know/hear.

What's really inspiring to me, beside the people around me.. Is the nature. I love nature! You sit on the ground, your back against a tree.. Suddenly everything stops. It's so quiet and you feel like a leaf on the tree. My advice: you should take time for yourself and the nature! Totally :)

Back to the technical stuff :) Until now I've recorded a lot of ideas on my super-great-high resolution web-cam, which just stopped working a few days ago. But I have to prove my geekness and find out if I can solve it somehow.
So we've recorded some of the ideas in the studio already! And soon a few guests are coming over... I had this crazy idea............

"I like the way that songs sort of have light, and sort of travel around despite you. It's good. It helps to have songs that you love, that you can be inside. It's good. It's part of the invention." Jeff Buckley

Had a blast too! One thought though, you call it a forrest, I think it's more of a jungle... Well, something is definitely growing up there.. and it's making noises that give purpose to microphones.. :)
