rhythm of life

groove. dynamics. beat. heart-beat. rhythm. I love the rhythm in music. It's the backbone to all the other instruments, it drives the song..(I love to sit behind a set of drums, whenever i get the chance:)) I've been thinking..what Jeremy said about the voice and singing..wanting more and trying less - this is good advice for drumming too.I like loud, but the drummers who feel the music, don't need to be loud to sound good! For example - the brushes!wow.Brushes sound so soft,calm..and kinda sexy :) i like the messy sound supported by a steady kick!

Had a wonderful, challenging experience today.Definitely challenging for the drummer! We had him record the drums over an acoustic song. Yes,i know.. who does that? Felt sorry for the guy, recording over my unsteady heart-beat. It actually sounded really good and I'm looking forward to the results!! Thank you BoĊĦtjan!!

Next on the flex - the bass! goes hand in hand with the drums..oh,mmmm the bass. Will write about it some other time:) We have Jernej coming over to record it!A very talented young man :) love his style.Me and Matej are already excited about the results! So,.. here's a caught moment from the studio. And as always, you are free to share your thoughts below the post.

"Life has it's own rhythm and you cannot impose your own structure upon it.. you have to listen to what it tells you, and you have to listen to what your path tells you."JB
